Heather Clayton

High School Science

hclayton@shiningrock.org

Heather is relatively new to Shining Rock but has been working in education for more than 20 years, primarily through her work as a zookeeper and volunteer public educator with the Minnesota Herpetological Society, often using live animals when engaging the public in interactive educational programs. Loving education must run in the family, as both of her parents were teachers in their pasts, and Heather decided to make it official and become a teacher herself in 2016. She still enjoys interacting with nature through hiking often with her 3 rescue dogs, getting out in the kayak, or taking a ride on the motorcycle as much as possible.

"I can't express how proud I am, and how privileged I feel to be a part of the growth and development of Shining Rock, especially the High School. I work with such an amazing team and we have the best students!"
